The Conspiracy Against Your Success

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Over the last 6 years in my own pursuit of success in the Network Marketing field I have just about seen and heard it all about what it takes to be successful.  I have mentored and coached many people who appeared to really want to get out of their situation and crack success, but actually very few who actually do what’s necessary.

In simple terms, a person’s success is only determined by the level of discomfort they are prepared to endure.

There are many different types of people who get started in this industry. Some have the financial backing, some are broke, some are extremely driven, some never take action and some will spend 10 years treading water and never achieve anything.  A vast majority of Network Marketers will also bounce from one company to the next always searching for the ‘shortcut’ to success and never learning the necessary skills to become a successful leader.

The one thing that I have really attributed to my own success is the level of discomfort that I have been willing to endure in pursuit of success. I know that I am much more willing to take risks that most people because I have always been willing to do whatever it takes. I spent well over 4 years harbouring over $40K worth of debt and still managed to find funds and play credit card shuffle in order to educate myself even more.

I have always been fascinated by the huge number of people who start a business, keep paying their expenses every month but are never willing to step outside of their comfort zone. You see, most people want results without getting uncomfortable because that is what we are taught.  Society teaches us to go to school, get an education, work hard, get a job and live a stable life within your own limitations. Some people are happy with that. And there is nothing wrong with that, but if you are one of those people that are not happy with a life of limitations – then you have to ask yourself what are you willing to do to change that?

Do you honestly think that staying within your comfort zone and not taking major risks is going to set you apart from everybody else?  Taking away your safety net is the only way to get you to do things you would have never done before.  It’s a fact that over 97% of people who start their own business will fail within the first 5 years, so to be apart of that 3% you have to study what they do and be prepared to do as they do.

Every successful entrepreneur has taken huge risks to achieve huge results. Take Richard Branson for example – I doubt there would be many people that could stack up against him for the risks he took to achieve his financial freedom.  He didn’t get lucky or just plodded his way to success – he did things that nobody else would be willing to do.

We learn and grow the most when we are the most uncomfortable and we learn more from adversity than we do just being comfortable. Becoming solution focused becomes necessary when you have your back up against the wall and you have no safety net.

In summary, the only conspiracy against your own success is you and the limits you put on your own discomfort levels. If you want to win big you have to be prepared to play big.

To your ultimate success

Carbon Copy Pro “10 for 10″ Mastermind Training

Last week I flew thousands of miles to attend a training in New York City called the “10 for 10″ held by the leaders of Carbon Copy Pro. This is a high level of training that you must obtain a certain leadership level in order to qualify and be invited. Its a small group of about 15 attendees and in an intimate setting like this, you have the chance to pick the brains of other 7 figure earners.

The name sprung from the original idea they had about offering a very exclusive trianing by bringing in the best of the best internet marketers and leaders and the cost was $10k to attend. What Jay and Aaron soon discovered after the first event was held is that success cannot be bought. How true!  Hence, they changed the concept to reward those members of the community who had worked hard and proven their desire to succeed.

There are plenty of people who have the financial backing that will never succeed because they are truly not hungry enough to do whatever it takes to succeed.  What I have discovered is that the times you grow the most are through failure and struggle.  As hard as it is sometimes, its the drive and determination to push through those times that allow you to grow and become a better leader. Leaders don’t look for answers – they find them.

I am truly grateful for the experience I had attending this event. I made connections with people who can only help to pull me up, not down.  It was a different conversation we had at this training, because we were ready for it. A new person you could not have the same conversation with. My purpose and what I wanted to get out of this training was to leave knowing that I had reached a new level of thinking by association.   All I can say is – Mission Accomplished.

Thankyou for an incredible 2 days of training and powerful mindset shifts.

Below is a few snippets of my time in New York.

Are you ready to do what it takes?

I hope so.
